Creative Art Center

The Creative Art Center is located in a historic building constructed in 1933 as the first freestanding home economics building in Texas. In January 1996, the building became an art center and home of the Mienral Wells Art Association, where art appreciation, study, worship, shows, classes and meetings could take place.

Now celebrating over 100 years of service to the area, the Famous Mineral Water Company continues to serve loyal patrons who relish the original mineral, deep well mineral and reverse osmosis waters. The Famous Mineral Water Company is the sole remaining namesake of Mineral Wells.
With a more health-conscious public and increasing interest in drinking water, the Famous Mineral Water Company promises to flourish for many years to come. Hours of operation for the company's water pavilion are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pavilion is available for group tours at other times by appointment only.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway

Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway has something for everyone. Along with camping and picnicking, the lake provides swimming, boating and fishing. The Penitentiary Hollow area is a challenge for rock climbers of every level., and the park trails and State Trailway provide hiking, biking and equestrian opportunities. The State Trailway is 20 miles long, stretching from historic downtown Mineral Wells to Cartwright Park near Weatherford, with other access points at the State Park and in the town of Garner.

Little Rock Schoolhouse Museum

The Little Rock Schoolhouse Museum was erected in 1884 and was the first public school building in Mineral Wells. Now the schoolhouse is a museum devoted to the preservation of the historical memorabilia of the city of Mineral Wells. Tours by appointment only.

Old Jail Museum

This old sandstone jail building was built in 1882 in Palo Pinto. Currently it displays a variety of dated artifacts of Palo Pinto County. Reservations are required for access, although the facility is open Saturday in the summer.
