City of Mineral Wells

The City of Mineral Wells is a progressive government that works hand in hand with area organizations and agencies such as the Chamber, the Area Growth Council, and the Mineral Wells Industrial Foundation to grow existing businesses and attract new employers to the city.

Among these partners’ many successes are development and execution of a plan to provide a new housing subdivision within the city limits in 2005-2008.

Coordination among the Mineral Wells Industrial Foundation, the Area Growth Council, and the City has also allowed for the recruitment and expansion of numerous other businesses over the last two decades.

In addition to its role in developing Mineral Wells’ economy, the City of Mineral Wells provides a full array of services including:

  • Fire and police protection
  • Boyce Ditto Public Library
  • Gymnasium
  • Parks
  • Animal shelter
  • Water delivery
  • Cemetery

A mayor and six council members govern the City. A full-time city manager appointed by the council oversees the day-to-day operations of the City’s 150-plus employees.
