The area boasts excellent employment and business opportunities, and our stunning landscapes can turn tourists into residents! The Chamber also serves as a Convention and Visitors Bureau for Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County, our staff of five ready to help your event or relocation succeed.

Census: It's in the hands of business

The Chamber encourages businesses to encourage their employees to take the Census when it is first mailed. Taking the Census is easy and confidential: No personal information is shared. Census data are important for federal and state dollars, and accurate numbers help businesses plan relocations or expansions. Look for Census form in mid-March.

Magazine: Mineral Wells the perfect getaway

Spotlight: Golden Chick

On November 2, 2005, Golden Chick gained new owners with a new attitude.  Steve and Linda Van Oss have a philosophy of “friendly attitude, clean store, product is King!” Steve has been in the fast food industry for over 35 years and is very good at what he does.  Golden Chick has been a viable part of the community, donating meals every night to Dunbar to feed the less fortunate and donating to the Business Women’s Luncheon, Leadership Mineral Wells and a host of other events. Stop by Golden Chick, enjoy a delicious meal, and let Steve and Linda know you appreciate them for giving back to the community.

Austin Chronicle previews fossil site

Although it isn't open to the public yet, a fossil site in Mineral Wells was paid a visit by Austin Chronicle writer Gerald McLeod this fall. McLeod offers a preview of what is to come at one of the few sites in the United States where visitors will be able to search for fossils and take their finds home!
